Advertising so does not work me!!! NOT
Ever since the ads to the flat bottom tacos have been on the telly I have been craving the crunchy Mexican treat.
So to solve the problem I went out and bought a packet of the aforementioned product.

My first mistake was to assume the tacos were in a kit form and all I would have to buy was the mince, so that is what I did!!! But there was only the taco shells in the box, luckily I have a rather embarrassingly over stocked pantry and was able to improve the rest – tin of crushed tomatoes, tin of baked beans in ham sauce, splash of Tabasco, sprinkle of chilli powder, another splash of Tabasco, sweet paprika, more Tabasco, parsley, and some Tabasco!
Then I removed the tacos from the box, and yer, they had a flattish base – give ’em a try.

Well they did stand up while filling them (mostly),

But as soon as I moved, they fell over spilling the contents across the room (bit dramatic but…)

So in summary –
· They are not any easier to fill than normal taco shells
· They fall over very easily
· They are harder to eat (because they are wider than the standard type)
· And they cost more than round based taco shells
My verdict - they suck :)
